The School Council is the governing body of Chaffey Secondary College. It plays an important role in supporting the College and helping shape its direction. School Council oversees key areas including educational policy, school uniform, general policies, buildings and grounds, and financial matters.
School Council Membership
Chaffey Secondary College School Council consists of members from different areas of the school community, bringing a range of perspectives, skills, knowledge, and experience.
There are four categories of membership:
- Department of Education Employees: 5 members, including the Principal
- Parent Members: 6 members
- Student Members: 2 members
- Community Members: Community representatives who contribute their knowledge, skills, and experience to support the College

Parents play an important role in School Council by providing valuable perspectives on the needs and experiences of students and families. Their skills, knowledge, and experience help inform decisions and contribute to shaping the future direction of Chaffey Secondary College.
